1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This code is formulated with a view to implement national technical economy policy，realize advanced technology，economy and rationality，safety and usability and ensure quality during the structure design for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast.

1.0.2　This code is applicable to the structure design for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast（free-standing and guyed）.Other designs of structures for communication steel towers and masts may also refer to this code.

1.0.3　This code was prepared subject to the GB 50068-2001 Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures，in compliance with and with reference to the following technical specifications：

1　GB 50135-2004 Code for Design of High-rising Structures.

2　GB 50009-2001 Load Code for the Design of Building Structures.

3　GB 50017-2003 Code for Design of Steel Structures.

4　GB 50011-2001 Code for Seismic Design of Buildings.

Not only the basic structure design for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast，but also other technical specifications and mandatory standards for civil design shall be complied with.

1.0.4　Where there is any discrepancy between this code and national regulation，the national regulation shall prevail.

1.0.5　The design service life of structure，service conditions，type of steels，model（or grade of steel）of connecting materials，mechanical property and chemical composition required for steels，other attached items，required weld form，weld quality grade，end planning and tight parts and construction requirements shall be clearly noted on the design document of structure for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast.

1.0.6　If the structure for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast is built on existing buildings，the technical evaluation or design permission shall be required to ensure the safety of buildings.

1.0.7　The application and service environment of structure for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast shall not be changed without technical evaluation or design permission.

1.0.8　The structures for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast shall be jointly constructed rather than being extended and renovated in the area with limited telecommunication right of way in accordance with relevant national regulations to share resources.

1.0.9　The structure for mobile communication engineering steel tower and mast shall be designed in accordance with the provisions set out in this code，otherwise current national standards and relevant professional standards shall also be complied with.
