Summary
We learned a lot in this chapter about setting up a Moodle course to implement the process of hiring for a new position.
Specifically, we covered:
- We learned how to create an assignment to allow users to submit a document.
- We created a basic competency test with multiple choice and essay questions.
- We looked at how to use the choice module to schedule interviews and support the interview process with a Q and A forum.
- We also learned how to manage the application process by linking activities together with conditional access. Only applicants who are qualified are allowed to pass on to the next activity.
- We also took a look at overriding permissions to enable you to customize the behavior of the modules.
Now that we've learned about using Moodle to support hiring great people, we're ready to begin training them—which is the topic of the next chapter.
